Words of Hope – A German-Arabic Writing Competition
The project “Words of Hope” was a writing competition that offered young people from Germany and Syria a platform to share their stories and perspectives. Whether in German or Arabic, the competition invited authors to express their creativity and make their voices heard. Before the call for submissions, participants had the opportunity to develop their writing skills in workshops and work on texts, which they then submitted.
A jury consisting of four young German and Syrian authors and translators selected their favorites from all submissions. The awarded texts were published in an anthology and honored at a public award ceremony.
