Literally Peace took part in the working group “Entangled: Stuttgart – Afghanistan,” which had been collaborating at the Linden Museum since 2019. The exhibition “Entangled” addressed the complex connections between Stuttgart, Germany, and Afghanistan. Historical objects, artworks from pre-Islamic and Islamic periods, as well as everyday items of great significance opened up new perspectives on relationships that go back thousands of years and continue into the present.
People from the Stuttgart region, including many with international backgrounds, some connected to Afghanistan, as well as partners from academic and artistic fields, contributed conceptually, intellectually, and personally. These diverse perspectives were reflected in the exhibition – through comments, memories, and critical reflections.
As part of the project, Literally Peace organized writing workshops in which creative texts were produced, engaging with topics such as belonging, identity, migration, memory, and conflict. These workshops provided a space for exchange and reflection, particularly open to young people with experiences of displacement or migration backgrounds.
