Our team, consisting of young photographers and writers with migration and refugee backgrounds, has been portraying people from Stuttgart since 2023 and sharing their images and stories on Instagram. The collected portraits were presented in an exhibition at the Stadtpalais at the end of 2025 and published in a photo book by Prima.Publikationen.
Humans of Stuttgart connects people through storytelling and promotes the representation of the diversity of our city. Those portrayed share their stories in their own words, while our team also actively helps shape the urban landscape. In this way, new spaces for encounter and visibility are created.
The only requirements for participation are that those portrayed are over 18 years old and live in the Stuttgart region.
