Arabic Writing Meet-Up

The Arabic Writing Meet-Up is an open space for everyone who writes in Arabic – regardless of experience or genre. Once a month, we come together in our online workshops to experiment with writing, discover new techniques, and further develop our creative voice. Each session is dedicated to a specific theme and offers writing exercises that make memories, emotions, and thoughts accessible in new ways.

In the writing workshop, we work together to deepen our skills in writing, improvisation, and experimenting with different literary forms. It is not only about writing our own texts, but also about exchanging ideas about literature, giving and receiving feedback, and presenting written works.

Over the course of the year, we invite guest authors, poets, and literature facilitators to learn from their experiences and gain new perspectives. Once a year, we celebrate the beauty of the Arabic language with special literary events – online or on stage.

Previous guests have included Ahmed Katlish, Marwa Melhem, and Bakr Al Jaber. The workshop is led by Farah Alnihawi and Rahaf Aeshou.
